The Beefeaters are here!
With International Day fast approaching, 5S have been preparing themselves and gathering resources for their own class display for England. On Sunday we had a surprise visit from the Head of the British Trade Office here in Al Khobar, Mr. Dai Harries and his Deputy Mr. Bill Kelly. Both came laden with goodies to help with our research on England (although obviously the Trade Office deals with the whole of the United Kingdom). In addition to our Beefeater - and Mr. Harries himself pointed out the uncanny resemblance to himself! - we also have a regiment of the Coldstream Guards, a fantastic view of the Roman Baths in Bath, and a member of the Royal Family, Prince Andrew himself on display! Our visitors also gave out lapel badges, and left calendars and a book of British design for the children to peruse.
