Year 5 splashing around Under the Sea!

Arrangements for KS2’s production of “Under the Sea” in March of 2011 are well underway.  Ms. Allison Thomas, as director for this school production, has undertaken an enormous task to organise, coordinate and direct pupils from Years 3, 4, 5, & 6.

We hear from Ms. Thomas that the children are working very hard to do a fantastic job!  Fortunately, many staff and students from all across the school have offered their help to manage the many aspects of putting such a big production together.  Many thanks are extended to those who have begun to put the many pieces of the play together.

In Year 5, the entire year group is performing two dynamic songs: “Daughters of Triton” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls”.  We also have many shining stars in our midst.  Ami Coppard is playing the lead character Ariel; Ruben Reeves is playing Prince Eric; Noura El-Bayrouti is Ursula the Sea Witch; Jacob Reyes is Sebastian; Matthew Gair is Chef Louis; Zaid Beck and Bahrouz Khan are Flotsam and Jetsam; Maya Taha, Rida Nayeemullah, Ayra Sheikh, Sophia Khwaja, Ipek Ildeniz and Caitlin Czarnota are the Mermaid sisters; Talia Sahin, Mariana Haddad and Khaled Hallak are Sailors; Sarah El-Khouly, Dylan Pragbanan, Raamiz Ahmad, Tayma Aubed, Carina Joseph and Rida Nayeemullah are Narrators; and Rehan Rauf is a Dramatic Dancer.

  1. The middle school production has taken place and everybody is getting serious about it.We have to miss P.E. lessons to learn the dances, we have to learn the lyrics to the songs and most of all the main cast get to miss school time!!!!To me the production is very important but the most bad thing in the production is that when i fall down in the second scene I need a pillow!!!
